High Power 312 LED 3200K-5600K Variable Color Temperature Dimmable Portable Video Light kit with Bat

VL312LED is a high power bi-color (3200K to 5600K) LED light in a 60 degree beam spread. With it's variable color temperature and dimmable brightness output, VL312LED is a flexible and portable LED light either for on-camera or off-camera use. It is also suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Two rotary knobs control the variable color temperature between 3200K to 5600K, and 10%-100% brightness.
 
Two Sony compatible L-series batteries are accepted to power the light for hours of usage. It can also accept AC power with an optional AC adapter (not included). Included a white diffuser to deliver a softening look on the object.
 
It also has a built in camera hot shoe mount. Additionally, a swivel head adapter is included which allows rotational aiming of the light source. The light can also be attached to any tripod. With the included hand grip it will allow for more options for off camera use.

Posted by Peter Hill on 10/3/2012 1:00:00 AM You quote the Lux at half a meter but the Comer CM-LBPS1800 is quoted at 1 meter.
According to the Inverse sq law rule it should be between 1700 and 1800 - very similar to the Comer CM-LBPS1800. Could you please confirm?

Replied by LA Color Pros We have the exact same question in our head. The spec is provided by the manufacturer. The industrial standard is listed as lux per 1 meter distance. For this light, it is listed as lux per 0.5 meter. We contacted the supplier to obtain the accurate lux value at 1 meter from the manufacturer. So far we haven't heard back from them yet. One key known fact is LED light lux fall off dramatically per distance. Maybe that's why the manufacturer listed per 0.5 meter to have a more appealing spec. Once we obtained the information, I will certainly update our product page and send it to you too.

Posted by Matt Choules on 10/7/2012 9:13:00 AM The dimensions are also a little puzzling, as the light appears as an oblong shape in the image but the sizes in millimeters are almost square (except the smallest number which I assume is the depth)...

Replied by LA Color Pros Oren, there is no CRI information from the manufacturer. Sorry about that. Also, the diffuser is the slide-in filter not magnetic. Many HDV-Z96 users loses their magnet filters. We decided to go with the slide-in filter version. Thanks
